Hats for Orphans

I want to share about a wonderful organization that I feel extremely passionate about. This organization is called Project Hope Ministries and was created by an amazing couple at the church I attend. Basically, the organization's goal is to minister to the people of Bogota, Colombia.  Project Hope Ministries has a pen pal program, child mentoring programs, and small business training for women in the poorer areas of Colombia.

This month, they are collecting knit or crochet hats for newborns at CRAN orphanage in Bogota, Colombia. I've been fortunate to have been able to travel to this orphanage twice to minister to the children there.

(This is a picture from one of the buildings at CRAN. Our mission team made the sign for them. Esperanza means hope)

So, if you would be interested in providing some love to the newborns at CRAN, please consider making some hats. If you click here: Hats for orphans, it will give you more information about the project along with some super easy peasy lemon squeezy instructions for making the hats (I've never crocheted hats before this weekend!). The only catch is that I would need them by January 27th and all you bloggy friends are from around the country! You would need to send them in the mail to me so that I can send them with a couple from my church that is going down to Bogota in early February to adopt. If you are interested, please leave a comment with your email address so that I can contact you. If you end up making some hats and shipping them to me I would love to give you one free item of your choice from my TpT store.

Thanks for reading!
